Types of Pool Filters We Carry
There are three main types of pool filters, and we carry all of them at our Franklin, MA store. Sand filters are the most common and easiest to maintain, using specially graded pool filter sand to trap debris. Cartridge filters offer finer filtration than sand and do not require backwashing, making them great for areas with water restrictions. DE (diatomaceous earth) filters provide the finest filtration of all, trapping particles as small as 3 to 5 microns.
Not sure which type is right for your pool? Our team can help you choose based on your pool size, type, and how much maintenance you want to do.
Pool Filter Replacement & Repair
If your filter is not keeping your water clean, it may need a new filter cartridge, a sand change, or a full replacement. Pool filter sand should be replaced every 3 to 5 years, and cartridges typically last 1 to 2 seasons. We carry replacement cartridges, filter sand, and complete filter systems.
We also offer filter repair service throughout Southeastern MA. Common problems like multi-port valve leaks, cracked tanks, and air in the system can often be fixed without replacing the entire filter.
